Theatre games, movement, music and exercises will be the tools for sharpening observation and concentration skills, igniting imagination and boosting self confidence and poise. Once again, we are offering a choice of two sessions this year.

Katie Jamieson was born in St. John’s Newfoundland and has been performing and taking private voice instruction since the age of six. At the age of 10, she was accepted into her first professional choir. With The Newfoundland Symphony Youth Choir, Katie was able to tour North America preparing herself to eventually sing with world champion choral group “Holy Heart of Mary Chamber Singers.” For 3 years, she toured North America and Europe, winning countless awards and recording two albums with this world renowned group. She attended Memorial University of Newfoundland Opera School from 1998 to 2002 and has graduated from the StFX Jazz program in April 2006. She is now the owner and operator of Jamieson’s Music studio in Antigonish and teaches private voice, piano and guitar lessons.

Along with Katie we are pleased to have the Festival Antigonish Young Company as the 2011 Theatre Camp Coordinators.
